According to NoCut News, South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has been fined 210 million Korean won by the Korean Personal Information Protection Commission for transferring user personal data overseas without consent. The investigation found that Bithumb sent user personal information to unauthorized overseas exchange systems when sharing Tether (USDT) market order books and processing virtual asset transfers, and provided user information including name, wallet address, and date of birth to 13 overseas exchanges.
