Kobayashi Takashi: Accepting the proposal of revising three security documents by the Liberal Democratic Party and the Japan Restoration Party

On the 24th, Hayao Takashi accepted the proposal of the Liberal Democratic Party and the Japan Restoration Association to revise three security documents in Japan. The Japanese government plans to complete the cabinet revision before the end of the year and propose an increase in defense spending based on the guidance of the Liberal Democratic Party. The Liberal Democratic Party has requested officials to study the defense spending ratio of NATO member states, which is approximately 3.5% of their GDP. The Japan Restoration Party demands that defense spending exceed 2% of GDP before the 2026 fiscal year, and calls for a re examination of the provisions in the Three Non Nuclear Principles regarding the non introduction of nuclear weapons. It also calls for the prompt procurement of nuclear submarines.
