[Former Ethereum Foundation Member: Founders Can't Rely Solely on Foundation Support, Success Ultimately Depends on Themselves] Former Ethereum Foundation member Abbas Khan wrote that good founders understand that a foundation cannot help you find product-market fit (PMF). Truly outstanding founders generally have a clear idea of what they want to do, know their weaknesses, and understand what they need. When approaching the foundation, they only make specific and limited requests. On the other hand, some founders think that simply sharing on Ethereum's launch day can solve distribution issues, treating this as a 'core plan' rather than an additional bonus. No foundation can make you successful. Creating a good product, solving distribution problems, and finding PMF all depend on yourself. Abbas Khan acknowledged that past criticisms of the Ethereum Foundation for lacking a team to support founders were valid. This function was indeed necessary but had been missing for a long time. Such criticism was not unfounded and was one of the reasons for subsequent changes in the situation.
