Last night's meeting at the White House was way more than just Trump throwing out another pro-Crypto statement. Trump brought together the SEC, CFTC, Coinbase, Robinhood, Kraken, Ripple, Chainlink, Nasdaq, and NYSE's parent company ICE. The lineup was stacked. Then, in front of this powerhouse group, he laid out a few key points: - The U.S. has discussed further increasing its involvement in Bitcoin and other digital assets. - Congress must push forward and pass the CLARITY Act. - The CFTC is exploring how to bring Hyperliquid into the U.S. in a compliant way. - The U.S. must maintain an undisputed lead in Bitcoin, Crypto, prediction markets, and AI. Next, the SEC, CFTC, NYSE, Nasdaq, and Crypto companies sat down together at the White House to figure out how to officially integrate stablecoins, on-chain financing, perpetual contracts, and prediction markets into the U.S. financial system. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said it straight at the White House: the next big battle is securing 60 votes for the CLARITY Act. Why is this vote so critical? Because Trump’s support for Crypto might only last one term, but if the market structure laws are truly passed, the rules won’t just flip back with a new president. So the real headline from last night isn’t “Will the U.S. suddenly buy a ton of BTC?” After last night, Crypto is transitioning from being an asset Trump supports to becoming a core part of the U.S.’s long-term financial infrastructure. Bottom line: the U.S. is staking its claim on the next-gen financial system.
