[Shinhan Investment Securities Suggests Allocating 2% to Digital Assets] According to a report by Jinse Finance on September 8, citing Yonhap News Agency, Shinhan Investment Securities' chief researcher Park Woo-yeol stated that as stocks and bonds have increasingly exhibited simultaneous fluctuations in recent years, the traditional 60% stocks and 40% bonds asset allocation strategy has weakened in its risk diversification effectiveness. He recommends expanding portfolios to include 8% alternative assets and 2% digital assets. Shinhan Investment Securities began advocating for a 2% allocation to digital assets this year. One of the bases for this recommendation is a backtest conducted on a 10% allocation to alternative assets split between gold and Bitcoin, which showed that an 8:2 gold/BTC ratio achieved relatively better risk-adjusted performance.
