MetaMask Staking exits Lido validator, stETH holders do not need to take any action
MetaMask Staking is an Ethereum validator that has proactively withdrawn from the Lido protocol following an investigation into an infrastructure intrusion incident. The final batch is expected to complete the withdrawal on October 7, 2026. Lido stated that withdrawing from ETH will return to the protocol periodically, estimated to take up to 45 days. stETH holders do not need to take action, and the protocol's multi node operator and 6750 stETH temporary reserve fund mechanism can alleviate interference.
