After the Bitget exchange was hacked, CEO Chen Gelei stated that user funds are secure and withdrawals have been suspended. Chen Gelei mentioned that only a small portion of the funds has been frozen or recovered. In February 2025, around $1.5 billion worth of Ethereum was stolen from Bybit, allegedly tied to North Korea's Lazarus Group.
