Ledger users encounter forged letter fraud, company suspends sales in some European retail channels

German Ledger user received a forged letter using Ledger's name, requesting the user to register a Bitcoin wallet through ZenLedger before October 31st. Ledger has coordinated with MediaMarktSaturn to temporarily suspend the sale of hardware wallets in its European retail network covering 11 countries and over 1000 stores. Ledger has confirmed that devices sold by a distributor in Southeast Asia contain malicious implants, and it has not yet been confirmed that European devices have been hacked. Ledger users face risks of physical supply chain tampering and targeted phishing attacks.
