Canadian Aiden Pleterski on trial in Toronto for embezzling $36.3 million in investor funds

Aiden Pleterski, who claims to be the "king of encryption," is on trial in the Toronto Superior Court. An accountant from the Ontario Securities Commission testified that investors invested $36.3 million in him between 2020 and 2022, and Aiden Pleterski used nearly half of it for personal expenses, including $5.6 million for a luxury car, $4.9 million for credit card bills, $870000 for travel and private jets, $598000 for security expenses, and $3.7 million for transferring funds to parents.
