Mt. Gox repayment deadline extended to October 2027, still holding 34400 BTC

Mt. Gox has extended the repayment deadline for creditors to October 31, 2027, and trustee Nobuaki Kobayashi has stated that the Tokyo District Court has approved the adjustment. Mt. Gox has been repaying Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash since July 2024, and as of March 2025, over 19500 creditors have received repayments. At present, the wallet belonging to Mt. Gox still holds about 34400 BTC, worth approximately 2.8 billion US dollars.
