Solana's new consensus protocol Alpenglow has been launched on the mainnet, reducing transaction confirmation time

The Solana client development team Anza announced that the new Solana consensus protocol Alpenglow has been launched on the Solana mainnet beta, reducing the final transaction confirmation time from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds. The Alpenglow genesis block has been generated, and the original consensus mechanism TowerBFT has been retired. This upgrade has a Genesis slot of 459.653 million, activated in the 1064th epoch, with a total of 654 validators participating and a switching time of 900 milliseconds.
