Starknet community votes to support research on transforming independent quantum resistant Layer 1, white paper expected to be released in November The Starknet community supported the research transformation to independent quantum resistant Layer 1 with over 93.5% of voting rights in the Snapshot governance vote, with over 2800 participating wallets. StarkWare CEO Eli Ben Sasson stated that the team plans to release a draft white paper in November. StarkWare pointed out that Starknet's cross chain bridge and data availability rely on Ethereum and cannot independently achieve complete quantum security. This vote only supports conducting research, and future transformation requires a vote from STRK holders. The Starknet Foundation stated that STRK will continue to be a native token and no new tokens will be issued, while the bridge between Ethereum and Starknet remains open. (Source: The Block)
