Tether led a pre-seed funding round for Bolivian fintech company Peso, with the specific amount undisclosed. Peso offers cryptocurrency-based savings, payments, and investments. Its infrastructure is already integrated with Yango to support USDT ordering and payments, and it provides a POS terminal network. This investment will enable Peso to expand its USDT payment terminals and local deposit and withdrawal services in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that Peso is building infrastructure for everyday consumption, transforming USDT from a savings tool into a daily payment channel. (Source: Bitcoin.com News)
