Arthur Hayes: HYPE may significantly underperform ETH and ZEC On October 16th, BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes @ CryptoHayes stated that Hyperliquid has proven that there is a real demand in the on chain perpetual contract market, but as this track becomes a market consensus, the risk reward appeal of HYPE is declining. Hayes believes that the main risk of investing in HYPE may not necessarily be losses, but rather the possibility of significantly underperforming other cryptocurrency assets such as ETH and ZEC. He believes that the perpetual contract DEX is facing increasingly fierce homogeneous competition and acknowledges the achievements of the Hyperliquid team. He is willing to use related products as a consumer, but not as an investor. Previously, Hayes publicly proposed a target price of $150 for HYPE, but announced the liquidation of HYPE and NEAR a few days later. Wu reminded that Arthur Hayes' market forecasting has a low historical accuracy and his views are often adjusted. It is recommended to focus on his analytical framework rather than specific price and time forecasts. Source: Luke Martin
