Akash Network announces selection of Solana as its blockchain migration target

On October 26, decentralized cloud computing network Akash Network announced that it has selected Solana as its blockchain migration target. Akash Network primarily provides decentralized GPU and AI computing power rental services. It originally ran an independent blockchain based on the Cosmos SDK and announced in October 2025 that it planned to abandon the existing independent chain and switch to a shared security architecture.
