Thirty-four casinos in Cambodia received $1.07 billion in crypto assets, some of which flowed to sanctioned networks.

From January 1 to September 7, 2026, 34 casinos in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, received approximately $1.07 billion in cryptocurrency. Of this, 64% of the funds flowed to casinos linked to the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions network, and 99.9% of the funds were transferred via USDT on the TRON blockchain. Monthly inflows decreased from an average of $148 million per month from January to May to approximately $95 million in July and August.
