[Anthropic Discloses Claude's Linux Kernel Exploiter] Anthropic has disclosed that Claude has written a Linux kernel exploit that can execute commands with root privileges without credentials or user interaction. The vulnerability, identified as CVE-2026-98432, has been patched and the patch rolled back in the upstream kernel. Patching for Ubuntu versions 22.04, 24.04, 26.04, and 26.10 is still underway.
