Love and hate in September—it's clear the market is choosing to de-leverage ahead of key events. Overnight, all three major U.S. stock indices fell, Brent crude closed at $101.21, and the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield climbed to 4.841%. Oil prices are back above $100, long-term rates continue to rise, and with tonight's PPI release, macro pressure has reached its peak this week. But the crypto market hasn't seen a panic-driven sell-off. $BTC dropped to around $7.79K, while Binance OI fell to 105.24K BTC. $HYPE dropped to $82.54, OI decreased to 3.98M HYPE, and funding rates turned negative. $SOL fell to $100.74, with funding rates now at -0.00893%. More notably, weekly DEX trading volume across the market grew by 9.69%, while weekly Perp trading volume only increased by 0.65%. Prices are falling, but leverage isn't piling up—spot activity is actually much stronger than contract trading. The ETH/BTC pair, which broke through 0.0315 last night, has now fallen back to around 0.03145, indicating that altcoin breadth hasn't truly opened up yet. The current structure looks more like this: core assets like $BTC, $SOL, and $HYPE are de-leveraging first, while capital continues to flow into new financial infrastructure with real trading demand, rather than causing all altcoins to rally together. So, ahead of these upcoming events, it's wise to reasonably reduce leverage and manage risk. Today's key events: - ECB interest rate decision. ECB's official website notes the decision will be announced at 14:15 CET, followed by a press conference at 14:45. - 20:30 Beijing time: U.S. August PPI. July PPI was 0.0% MoM, +4.7% YoY. Tomorrow, September 11: - 20:30: U.S. August CPI + Real Earnings. - 23:46: $PUMP 6.875B unlock, currently valued at approximately $31M. September 15–16: - FOMC meeting. The Fed has confirmed the decision will be announced on September 16 at 14:00 ET, followed by a press conference at 14:30. - September 15: Vote on the crypto bill "Clarity Act." - September 16: Circle Arc Public Mainnet launch.
