Bitwise released its "2027 Bitcoin Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions" report, raising its 10-year price target for Bitcoin from $1.3 million to $1.6 million, representing a CAGR of 34.3%, compared to expected annualized returns of 6.7% for US stocks and 10.8% for private equity over the same period. Bitwise projects that institutions will allocate 1% to 5% of their assets to Bitcoin over the next decade, corresponding to a demand of $1.5 trillion to $7 trillion. The report indicates that Bitcoin's pullback from its October 2025 high to its June 2026 low is approximately 50%, lower than the previous cycle's pullbacks of 86%, 84%, and 77%. Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan stated that he is more bullish on Bitcoin now than last year.
