A Binance hot wallet hacker transferred all 74.56 million ARB tokens to address 0x000...0DA0, which Arkham identified as a Kelp DAO hacker. The tokens have not yet been transferred or sold. Kelp DAO suffered an attack on April 18th of this year, losing approximately $292 million worth of rsETH. At the time, the community speculated that the attackers were the North Korean hacking group Lazarus Group.

SlowMist cosine monitoring revealed that Binance hackers used the EIP-7702 mechanism to steal tokens from Binance's hot wallet in bulk. The hackers conducted a rehearsal for several hours before the actual theft.

Arbitrum has recovered 8,426 ETH and 74.56 million ARB assets, worth a total of $30.25 million, stolen from Binance by hackers. Six months ago, Arbitrum had previously recovered and returned 30,766 ETH stored on the Arbitrum blockchain by hackers. (Ember)
