The T3 FCU, a coalition launched by TRM Labs, Tether, and Tron to combat illicit activities, was disbanded in August of this year. The reason for the disbandment was slow response and poor coordination.
The T3 FCU was established in September 2024, primarily responsible for tracking and freezing USDT on the Tron blockchain related to illicit activities. In May of this year, the alliance announced that it had frozen over $450 million in illicit assets, with its partner law enforcement agencies covering 23 jurisdictions across five continents.
