[Gnosis Pay Consumer Card System Experiences Data Breach, User Funds Unaffected]
On November 3rd, Gnosis Pay's monitoring system discovered unauthorized access to the system supporting Gnosis Pay branded consumer cards, resulting in the leakage of some customer information. User funds and enterprise platforms supporting the white-label card program were unaffected.
The security team initiated containment measures within two hours of discovering the issue, replacing affected security credentials and patching the vulnerability. Gnosis Pay has sent emails to affected customers, strengthening card and wallet activity monitoring, and requiring all online card payments to pass 3D Secure verification. The consumer card system was originally scheduled to be discontinued on December 20th.
