EU and G8 sign additional protocol to include virtual assets and VASP in regulatory scope

The European Union has signed an Additional Protocol to the Warsaw Convention with Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Luxembourg, Monaco, Montenegro, San Marino, and the United Kingdom, which includes virtual assets and VASP in its scope of application to address transnational crimes of money laundering and terrorist financing using encrypted assets.
