DTCC opens $30 trillion tokenization service, Stellar becomes 2027 partner
The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) of the United States opened commercial access to tokenization services this month, covering $30 trillion in assets. The service initially operated on the Canton and Besu platforms, with the first batch of 25 liquidity tools included. Institutions can convert traditional securities into tokens from 2:00 to 18:00 Eastern Time and transfer them 24/7. Stellar has been listed as a partner for launch in 2027, and will be integrated with Circle's Arc solution through the SEP-41 standard.
