Mark Karpeles: Ledger customer service claims authenticity verification contradicts technical documentation

Mark Karpeles, former CEO of Mt. Gox, pointed out that there is a contradiction between Ledger customer service's statement about genuine product verification and Ledger's technical documentation. Ledger customer service stated that security components can detect physical tampering, while Ledger technical documentation shows that genuine verification cannot identify unauthorized hardware physical tampering. Mark Karpeles stated that more than $90 million was stolen less than two months after the customer service response was sent. Galaxy Research estimated a loss of $91 million on October 16th.
