Lightning Labs opens up Wavelength to support AI-powered autonomous payment agents.
Lightning Labs has opened Wavelength to users, enabling AI agents to autonomously send and receive funds on the Bitcoin mainnet via the Lightning Network and L402. These AI agents can pay API call fees, purchase data, and transact with other agents, with single transactions costing as little as 1 cent. Developers can integrate payment functionality without running Lightning Network nodes, managing channels, or raising liquidity. The toolkit supports independent on-chain exits, with an initial limit of 300,000 satoshis per wallet, and a 0.25% service fee for Lightning Network payments. Wavelength is currently in Alpha phase and plans to support stablecoins. (Source: Bitcoin News)
