Bitcoin mining difficulty remained below its all-time high for 374 consecutive days, setting a new record.

--

Bitcoin mining difficulty has remained below the all-time high of 155.97T set on October 29, 2025, for 374 consecutive days, surpassing the 364-day record following the 2011 crash and the 253-day record following the Chinese mining ban in 2021. Economist Saifedean Ammous stated that this current period, lasting longer than the 95% price retracement of 2011 and the subsequent Chinese mining ban, marks a new era for Bitcoin mining. Mining difficulty dropped to a low of 124.93T in mid-June 2026, about 20% lower than its peak. The difficulty rose to 148.36T in October, and Mempool.space predicts it will decrease again by about 3.7% around November 13th. (Source: Bitcoin.com)
