Former FBI Agent Patrick Steven Yaroch Pleads Guilty to Stealing $2.47 Million in Cryptocurrency. Former FBI agent Patrick Steven Yaroch pleaded guilty on November 5 to wire fraud and money laundering charges. Prosecutors allege that Yaroch used wallet credentials collected during FBI investigations to steal approximately $2.47 million in cryptocurrency. Yaroch used credentials related to 35 independent investigations to make approximately 100 fraudulent transfers. Affected wallets included those of the investigated parties, those controlled by hostile state actors, and at least one wallet created by the FBI for operations. His actions damaged numerous investigative and intelligence sources and means. Yaroch is scheduled to be sentenced on March 4, 2027, and faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Hyperliquid Strategies announced its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, with a net income of $621 million. This profit primarily came from $803 million in unrealized gains on HYPE tokens, along with $172 million in income tax; staking income and validator commissions totaled $12.3 million, and interest income was $1 million. The company reported quarterly revenue of $13.3 million, exceeding analysts' expectations of $10.6 million to $12 million. During the quarter, the company acquired 9.1 million HYPE tokens for $785 million, bringing its total holdings to 38.9 million HYPE tokens as of October 28th, with an average cost of $56.35 per token.
