[Aave Lowers USDT Lending Kink Utilization to 92%, Causing Lending Costs to Rise Earlier] According to Jinse Finance, on October 24th, Aave adjusted the USDT lending rate parameters in the Ethereum Core market (block 26,241,799), lowering the "kink" utilization from 94% to 92%, causing lending costs to rise earlier when pool liquidity tightens. New parameters: 92% optimal utilization, 0 base rate, 4.5% first slope, 10% second slope; kink rate of 4.5% APR; 14.5% APR at 100% utilization. At the same 94% utilization, the old curve charged 4.5% APR, while the new curve reaches 7% APR (2.5% higher). According to LlamaRisk's recommendation on October 20 (supply of 2.8922 billion USDT), a 92% utilization rate leaves approximately 57.84 million USDT in unlent buffer compared to 94%. However, this buffer does not generate actual cash; withdrawals still depend on available unlent liquidity. A snapshot from October 23 shows approximately 391.4 million USDT in physical cash, a variable lending APR of approximately 4.23%, and a supply liquidity APR of 3.29%.
