Bitcoin fell below $80,000 ahead of the Federal Reserve decision and midterm elections.

According to Kaiko data, influenced by the MiCA Act, USDC's share in euro-denominated stablecoin transactions has risen to 56%, surpassing USDT. USDC's liquidity in euro-denominated transactions exceeds that of USDT, with an order book depth approximately 40% higher. The global circulation of USDT is about 2.5 times that of USDC. The European Banking Authority has designated USDC as the EU's first major electronic money token under the MiCA framework.

Coinbase announced that spot trading for STABLE (STABLE) will launch on October 27, 2026. If liquidity conditions are met, the STABLE-USD trading pair will open for trading in regions that support the transaction later today.

Coinbase will automatically convert 14 restricted tokens held by EEA retail users that do not comply with MiCA regulatory requirements on October 30, 2026. These assets include USDT, PYUSD, USD1, DAI, PAX, GUSD, GYEN, BUST, UST, RAI, PAXG, MUSD, USDS, and TGBP. Coinbase has suspended trading of these tokens by EEA retail users. Users must withdraw their holdings to external wallets before the deadline; otherwise, any remaining balances will be converted to USDC or other supported crypto assets or fiat currency at market prices.
