ETH falls below the $2,300 mark

Bitcoin fell below $80,000 as Samsung-driven tech weakness and a hawkish Fed hold triggered a broad risk-off move. Crypto futures saw $356 million in liquidations.

Singapore police reported multiple cases of Ledger hardware wallet tampering since September 10, resulting in a total loss of approximately S$3.5 million (about US$2.7 million) for users. The investigation found that some Ledger wallets purchased from Singapore retail stores contained malicious hardware components. On October 13, Ledger requested retailers in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Hong Kong to suspend the sale of the devices.

Ethereum co-founder Mihai Alisie has joined Ethlabs as an anchor funder, while Payward and Gattaca have joined as contributors. The initial anchor funders include BitMine, Sharplink, and Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin.

Hyperliquid permanently burned 49.87 million HYPE tokens, worth approximately $3.89 billion, representing 4.99% of its maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. In the past 24 hours, 19,700 HYPE tokens, worth approximately $1.59 million, were burned; estimated 24-hour transaction fee revenue is $1.69 million, bringing cumulative revenue to $1.38 billion.

On October 28, Tether blacklisted 33 addresses on the TRON network, freezing a total of approximately $27 million USDT, with the largest single address holding approximately 7.8 million USDT. Tether has not yet publicly explained the specific reasons for this concentrated freeze.
