Democrats regain control of the House of Representatives and plan to investigate the Trump family's crypto business.
On November 4, Democrats regained control of the U.S. House of Representatives. California Democratic Representative Robert Garcia will serve as chairman of the House Oversight Committee, which plans to examine the Trump family's cryptocurrency transactions, Donald Trump Jr.'s business dealings, and the appointments of relatives such as Jared Kushner, claiming that Trump's cryptocurrency-related businesses have generated over $1 billion in revenue. World Liberty Financial may become the primary target of the investigation. The Democratic Party is focused on a deal involving approximately $500 million invested in the company by a member of the UAE royal family and plans to begin questioning and subpoenaing related companies and donors starting next February. World Liberty Financial is currently seeking a national banking license.
