TRM Labs: Israel may use Nobitex attack to obtain intelligence and arrest multiple Iranian spies
Odaily Planet Daily reported that TRM Labs reported that Israeli cyber units may have obtained internal data through the previous $90 million attack on Iran's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Nobitex, in order to arrest individuals suspected of engaging in espionage activities for Iran. Within just a few days after the attack, Israel announced the arrest of three individuals engaged in intelligence work for Iran, two of whom had received cryptocurrency as compensation. Chainalysis also pointed out that Nobitex is an important hub of Iran's sanctioned crypto ecosystem and has been associated with multiple illegal entities. (TheBlock)
