US judge postpones Aave hearing on unfreezing $71 million ETH

--

Judge Margaret M. Garnett in New York has postponed the ruling on Aave's emergency application, which aims to unfreeze $710 million in ETH related to the Kelp DAO hacking incident, and requires both parties to submit supplementary opinions before the hearing on June 5th. The Kelp DAO suffered a loss of $293 million in this hacking attack. Aave stated that if funds cannot be released in a timely manner, it may trigger user liquidation and affect the DeFi market. The judge requested both parties to provide additional statements on six key issues, and the deadline for submitting their opinions is May 22nd. Meanwhile, Kelp DAO's compensation work is progressing, and approximately $278 million in lost tokens will be recovered through the Aave Recovery Guardian multi signature wallet within two weeks.
