Attackers exploit Cosmos EVM vulnerability to steal $50 million in NES, with actual profits of $60000

BubbleMaps stated that attackers exploited the Cosmos EVM sharing module vulnerability to steal $50 million worth of NES tokens, but only made a profit of $60000 due to insufficient liquidity. The attacker's address 0x9AE7... initially spent $250000 to purchase NES and exploited a vulnerability to inflate the balance, transferring $50 million NES across chains back to Ethereum. The attacker encountered a serious slippage when exchanging DEX for NES, and actually spent $255000 to launch the attack, cashing out $315000 with a net profit of approximately $60000. Another Cosmos EVM chain suffered a similar attack worth $1.4 million, and BubbleMaps determined that the two incidents were caused by different attackers.
