Liquid Network redemption suspended for 35 days, attackers still hold 598.5 bitcoins

The LBTC exchange for Bitcoin on the Bitcoin sidechain Liquid Network has been suspended for 35 days. The attacker exploited a vulnerability in the Elements software to obtain nearly 4000 bitcoins, of which approximately 3400 have been returned. The wallet still holds 598.5 bitcoins worth $49.69 million. Blockstream rejects the attacker's request for a 10% bounty. Liquid Network is conducting a security audit for Elements v23.3.4, while Liquid Federation is synchronously updating the PAK list and placing redemption keys in cold storage. There is currently no specific date for resuming redemption. Some LBTC holders migrate funds through Sideswap and Sideshift.ai, with a total price difference and fee of approximately 5%.
