[Iron Fish Discovers Underlying Inflation Vulnerability, Announces Termination of Remaining Network Support] The privacy-focused public blockchain Iron Fish has announced the termination of all remaining support for its network. The team confirmed an inflation vulnerability in the Iron Fish blockchain, stemming from a nullifier calculation in the Merkle tree implementation code from early 2019. This vulnerability allowed attackers to repeatedly spend tokens and transfer assets out via the ChainPort cross-chain bridge. Iron Fish has submitted a patch and a recap, and will subsequently shut down and archive the code repository.
