It’s true that even though having insurance makes it unnecessary to run around, many friends do choose to go back to China for medical treatment or check-ups; affordability is one aspect, and another is that the services in the country are really good.
The insurance I bought can be reimbursed for medical treatment in China. When I was in Singapore, I also went to private hospitals; although they are expensive, there are fewer people, and the service quality is quite high. However, compared to private hospitals in China, it is still lacking a lot.
Especially in terms of language, many doctors in Singapore’s private hospitals do not speak Chinese well, so if one’s English isn’t very good, it can be quite a headache. However, there are no such issues in China; in any case, it can be reimbursed, and if one is going back to the country anyway, it is indeed more comfortable to go back if one can tolerate it.
