I flipped through his records and pulled out a few new positions to do a rough stress test and see the magnitude.
On June 18, his account bought Berkshire Hathaway, Visa, Mastercard, and Cintas all at once, each between $1 million and $5 million.
If we simplistically take the closing price on June 18 as the purchase price, and then calculate using last Friday's closing price on August 21, corresponding to positions of $1 million to $5 million:
BRK.B, increased by +1.3%, unrealized profit $13,000—$65,000
Visa, increased by +13.4%, unrealized profit $134,000—$669,000
Mastercard, increased by +18.5%, unrealized profit $185,000—$927,000
Cintas, increased by +19.3%, unrealized profit $193,000—$964,000
Just these 4 trades, if held all the time, the unrealized profit would be between approximately $1.58 million and $2.63 million.
Of course, we don’t know the real transaction price during the trading day; this is just an approximate estimate.
There are thousands of other trades, but these few million dollars are basically pocket change for Trump's current balance sheet.
