Green United failed to dismiss SEC's $18 million cryptocurrency mining fraud lawsuit against it

According to Cointelegraph, Green United LLC failed to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the US SEC, which accused its executives of operating a fraudulent cryptocurrency mining program that earned $18 million from investors. Defendants Wright Thurston and Kristoffer Krohn operate Green United LLC, which was accused by the SEC of selling "Green Boxes" and "Green nodes" in March of last year. In the judgment on September 23, Judge Ann Marie McIff Allen stated that the defendant failed to refute the SEC's securities allegations, stating that it "fully charged all necessary elements of the securities in the form of an investment contract." The judge refused to dismiss the SEC's fraud allegations against Thurston, stating that his actions created a "false impression" for investors to earn GREEN tokens through mining.
