The court found that the defendant Wen, together with multiple people (all of whom have already been sentenced), fabricated identities and used verbal chat to gain the trust of the other party, inducing foreign personnel to purchase virtual currency to commit fraud. A total of 54360 fraudulent messages were sent, and Wen illegally profited 2400 yuan. The court believes that the defendant Wen organized others to commit telecommunications network fraud, using fictitious facts and concealing the truth to defraud others of their property. His behavior has constituted the crime of fraud and is a joint crime. Taking into account the facts, nature, circumstances, and degree of social harm of Wen's crime, in accordance with relevant provisions of the Criminal Law, the defendant Wen is convicted of fraud and sentenced to three years' imprisonment and a fine of RMB 20000.
