Base introduces Flashblocks in the test network, increasing transaction speed by 10 times and shortening block confirmation to 200 milliseconds

According to the official announcement of Base, it has launched multiple new technologies aimed at improving on chain transaction speed, scalability, and user experience. Among them, Flashblocks technology has been tested online on Base Sepolia, reducing block confirmation time from 2 seconds to 200 milliseconds, making it the fastest EVM chain. In addition, Base has also launched Base Appchains (L3 chains), which provide dedicated block space for high traffic applications and improve scalability. At the same time, Base introduces Smart Wallet Sub Accounts to optimize user experience, reduce transaction signatures, and provide a more secure account management method. Base plans to push Flashblocks and Sub Accounts to the mainnet in Q2.
