The Hyperliquid main network validator set will be fully permissioned, with N set to 20 and gradually increasing
According to Foresight News, the Hyper Foundation announced on X that the validator set of the Hyperliquid mainnet will be fully permissioned after the next network upgrade. Similar to the testnet, the top N validators ranked by quality will form an active set. The initial N is set to 20 and will gradually increase over time. In addition, Hyperliquid has launched a Delegation Program aimed at enhancing network security and decentralization, and supporting validators committed to ecological development. The official recommendation is for validators to familiarize themselves with the testing network and understand the relevant technical details before running the main network node. It is worth noting that the self entrusted pledge of 10000 HYPEs will be locked for one year by the agreement, and this lock will still apply even if the verifier fails to enter the active set. Hyper Foundation strongly recommends that validators apply to participate in the commissioning program before running the main network node.
