[ABN AMRO Secures MiCAR License and Completes Blockchain Derivatives Transaction] The German subsidiary of ABN AMRO, Hauck Aufhäuser Digital Custody, has obtained authorization under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) to provide crypto asset custody and trading services for institutional clients, with plans to expand to other EU member states. MiCAR will officially come into effect on December 30, 2024, and ABN AMRO is among the early licensed institutions.
