Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren has called on the U.S. government to release the September nonfarm payroll report as scheduled on Friday, despite the ongoing shutdown. A Senate Banking Committee aide revealed that the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has completed the relevant data collection and may be ready to publish. Warren emphasized that the absence of nonfarm payroll data would impact the Federal Reserve's interest rate decisions, which could, in turn, affect the economic conditions of households nationwide. Previously, the BLS had stated that it would suspend the release of major economic data during the government shutdown.
