According to Cointelegraph, US District Judge Barbara Rothstein has ruled to transfer a class action lawsuit against Binance, originally scheduled to be heard in Washington, to Florida for alleged money laundering assistance. The court believes that the case is essentially the same as the litigation already filed in Florida in 2023, and applying the "first to file rule" can avoid duplicate litigation and improve trial efficiency. Despite the plaintiff's argument that the case involves additional charges and the addition of former CEO Zhao Changpeng (CZ) as a defendant, the court still believes that the victim groups in the two cases are the same, and the transfer does not affect the progress of the case.
