[China and the U.S. to Simultaneously Suspend Certain Tariffs and Regulatory Measures for One Year] The Ministry of Commerce announced that China and the U.S. will simultaneously suspend certain tariffs and regulatory measures for one year. The U.S. will suspend the Section 301 investigation measures targeting China's maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding industries, as well as postpone the implementation of the "50% Penetration Rule" announced on September 29 for one year. Additionally, the U.S. will cancel the 10% "Fentanyl Tariff" imposed on goods from China (including Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions) and continue to suspend the imposition of the 24% reciprocal tariff for one year. China will simultaneously suspend relevant countermeasures, including adjustments to its countermeasures against the U.S., and will study and refine subsequent plans. Both sides also agreed to extend certain tariff exclusion policies.
