Two new wallets receive 312 BTC from BitGo within 24 hours

According to the Korean Economic Daily, Bithumb announced that it will adopt anti quantum cryptography (PQC) technology to cover virtual asset wallet management and identity authentication systems to protect customer private keys. Bithumb will collaborate with security technology company ATON to encrypt data input, authentication, transmission, and storage processes, and strengthen real-time monitoring systems to prevent new types of hacker attacks and abnormal trading patterns related to quantum computers.

According to SBS Biz, the Korean Personal Information Protection Commission is investigating the sharing of order books between Upbit and Bithumb and overseas exchanges, with a focus on whether it involves cross-border transfer of personal information. The committee has completed a written investigation and on-site inspection, and is currently assessing whether it is illegal. The results are expected to be announced in the second half of the year. It is reported that Upbit shares its order book with Upbit APAC and Tether markets in Southeast Asia, and Bithumb has previously shared its order book with Stellar in Australia.

According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korean prosecutors have accused Delio CEO Chung Sang ho of stealing approximately 250 billion Korean won (about 190 million US dollars) in virtual assets from around 2800 victims and are demanding a 20-year sentence. Delio suspended withdrawals on June 14, 2023, after attracting investors to deposit cryptocurrency assets with high interest rates. The prosecutor claimed that their fraudulent behavior and false advertising caused significant losses and refused to cooperate with the investigation. The first instance verdict will be announced on July 16th.
