Prosecutor suggests lenient sentencing for former Celsius executive

US prosecutors recommend a lighter sentence for former Celsius Chief Revenue Officer Roni Cohen Pavon for providing cooperation in a fraud case and accusing former CEO Alex Mashinsky. Cohen Pavon admitted in September 2023 to charges of manipulating the price of CEL tokens, which were related to the 2022 Celsius crash resulting in a loss of $1 billion. The prosecutor did not provide a specific sentence and only requested the judge to refer to the sentencing guidelines to reduce the sentence. The sentencing hearing has been postponed to May 13th.
