DL News announces closure by the end of the year

DL News announced that it will be closed. The media was launched in 2022 as the news department of DeFiLlama, originally planned to become a profitable business, but did not achieve its goal. DL News reported that internal conflicts within DeFiLlama in early 2023 led to its departure from its parent company, retaining only its name and brand. The deterioration of the media environment and the unsustainable subscription model are considered the main reasons. DL News also mentioned that DL Research, a research business launched in 2024, will achieve 270% revenue growth by 2025, with annual sales exceeding one million US dollars, and clients including multiple top encryption companies.
